Pretty Links
In addition to tiny links, something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time is to prettify all the full versions of links on this site through the joys of mod_rewrite. All the blog post links are now in this new format.
Instead of getting something like this:
http://taishimizu.com/index.tai?title=An-Unexpected-Ball-Game&view=post&postid=157
The link now becomes this:
http://taishimizu.com/157/An-Unexpected-Ball-Game
Much nicer, eh? There’s still a few non-blog post links that need to be changed, but it’s 90% there. All the old links still work, and redirect to the new versions.
